Antunes Ultrafiltration systems remove micro-particles, bacteria, cysts and viruses. They do not remove the elements and minerals that are essential for the normal functioning of the human body. Therefore, they are used for the bacteriological treatment of water and to improve its turbidity, colour, smell and taste. Working principle

The essential element of the system is a cartridge, made in the form of a sleeve, filled with numerous membranes formed into small diameter tubes with capillary holes. Filtered water flows outside through the holes, whereas the impurities are retained on the inner surfaces of the membranes. These impurities are periodically rinsed with filtered water by opening an automatic valve, which is actuated by the controller. Ultrafiltration system works well with mechanical filter mounted upstream of the system as well as carbon cartridge located downstream of it.

The capacity of ultrafiltration membranes is provided by Antunes for specific water quality. Actual capacity depends mostly on the quality of filtered water.
